Mozart Madness Is Here!!

Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart. Whew, that was a mouthful! Mozart is the second famous composer in our Master's Series. This child prodigy amazed the adults of his time with his great talent. Writing his first symphony at the age of 6 and traveling the countryside performing for royalty.

Mozart was brillant but he was still a boy who loved to show off. One of his favorite party tricks was to cover his hands with a cloth and play a complicated piece for his audience. He also liked to impress his audience by playing the piano while lying on his back.

When he finished playing one of his concerts he ran up and sat on the lap of the Empress of Austria. This shocked everyone but the Empress didn't seem to mind. He also proposed to young Marie Antoinette when he finished performing one of his concerts. She was only 12 years old at the time.

We use stories, crafts, games and instrumental performances to learn more about amazing composers. Studying these famous individuals encourages students to excel on their instruments and exposes them to a diversity of music. Monthly performances for their peers gives them goals to work towards.

Full lesson plans for 'Partying with Bach' and 'Mozart Madness' are available at www.kidzjumpjamnjive.com. Throw a Bach or Mozart party or use the lessons in your private studio or with your homeschool co-op. Your students will love it. More composer lesson plans are coming soon.
