Kyle has been playing music since the age of 7 and has enjoyed every minutes of it. His main instrument is guitar, and he is extremely passionate about it. In 2019, he played in the Orchestra Pit for the University of Delaware, where he hopes to attend for college as a music major. He also plays Electric guitar weekly at Love of Christ Church.

Sherry Miller, owner of S Music Studio, brings over 40 years of experience working with all ages teaching voice, piano and directing choirs. She has conducted many music camps and looks forward to providing a fun and educational experience to the studio's summer campers.

Julia Cohen, our summer camp director, is a musician from NYC, and specializes in Voice/Piano instruction. With a bachelor’s degree in both Music (concentration and Composition & Theory) and Psychology from Muhlenberg College. She has experience also teaching musical theatre in classes and workshops (Broadway Bound Kids, the Cathedral School). Her most notable roles include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), RENT (Mimi Marquez), Guys & Dolls (Adelaide), and even performing at Joe’s Pub in NYC.

Rock Band will expose campers to the various instruments and chordal progressions that make up a rock band and the music. This class is designed for students with little or no experience with band instruments. We will provide the instruments or bring your own if you have one.

Skilled instructors will teach students how to read music through a natural approach. They will enjoy learning how to play chord charts in contemporary styles, as well as discover how much fun it is to play in an ensemble. They will play along with orchestral tracks, explore improvisation and even compose music of their own.

In the Pop Glee class, students will get to rock out to their favorite songs as they learn proper vocal technique, how to harmonize and how to enhance their singing with choreography.

Drama breakouts will include skit writing, staging, choreography and drama exercises. Everyone will have an opportunity to shine as they learn how to work together to write and present a mini production at the end of each camp.
